In occasione della The Venice Glass Week, le Procuratie Vecchie di Piazza San Marco a Venezia ospiteranno dal 13 settembre al 1 novembre 2026
dodici lampadari in vetro, realizzati da artisti contemporanei di fama internazionale, insieme ai migliori Maestri di Murano. Un’esposizione unica per celebrare il vetro artistico.
Chiara Dynys parteciperà con l’opera luminosa realizzata per l’occasione Angels save Venice.
Scrive in merito l’Artista:
Una forma che ricorda un bozzolo irregolare: l'involucro di seta tipico delle falene. Questa forma magica, che precorre i tempi della nascita di un essere meraviglioso, la farfalla, sarà ricoperta di ali di vetro colorato, e quando si illuminerà diventerà la luce verso cui tutti gli esseri viventi sono attratti, dalle falene, appunto, agli esseri umani. Ma queste ali non sono ali di farfalle, sono le ali "archetipiche" di Angeli, Angeli che li si sono posati per un attimo, un attimo eterno, come gli attimi del paradiso, per riposare o per mostrarsi a noi nella loro bellezza e stupenda leggerezza. Le mani di Gianni Seguso interpretano il mio progetto realizzando le ali nel modo piu magico ed efficace: il vetro colorato di cui sono fatte vibra nella luce del giorno e anche nella notte grazie alla luce interna a questo rutilante lampadario per Piazza San Marco, che rimanda le loro onde colorate sconfiggendo il buio del porticato. Angels save Venice, gli angeli salvano Venezia, ma anche il mondo perché Venezia, attraverso Murano, lo illumina.
For The Venice Glass Week, the Procuratie Vecchie in St. Mark’s Square, Venice, will host—from September 13th to November 1st, 2026—twelve glass chandeliers created by internationally renowned contemporary artists in collaboration with the finest Murano masters. A unique exhibition celebrating artistic glass.
Chiara Dynys will participate with a light-based work created for the occasion: Angels Save Venice.
The Artist writes:
A shape reminiscent of an irregular cocoon: the silk casing typical of moths. This magical form—heralding the birth of a wondrous being, the butterfly—will be covered in colored glass wings. When illuminated, it will become a beacon of light attracting all living creatures, from moths to human beings. Yet these are not butterfly wings; they are the "archetypal" wings of Angels—Angels who have alighted there for a moment, an eternal moment akin to those in paradise, whether to rest or to reveal themselves to us in all their beauty and exquisite lightness. Gianni Seguso’s hands interpret my design, crafting the wings in the most magical and effective way: the colored glass from which they are made vibrates in the daylight—and at night, too, thanks to the internal light of this dazzling chandelier for St. Mark’s Square, which casts its colorful waves into the darkness of the arcade. "Angels Save Venice"—angels save Venice, but also the world, because Venice, through Murano, illuminates it.

Sempre nel 2022 Chiara Dynys è stata protagonista di importanti esposizioni ed eventi, fra cui “Quirinale Contemporaneo” presso MIMS – Ministero delle Infrastrutture e della Mobilità Sostenibili, “Glasstress 2022 – State of Mind” presso la Fondazione Berengo Art Space di Murano (Venezia) e “Il Numinoso” a cura di Giorgio Verzotti presso BUILDING, Milano. Appena conclusa la personale “Chiara Dynys. L’ombra della luce” al Mart. A tutt’oggi sono visitabili “Over nature” presso Palazzo Maffei Casa Museo a Verona, “Enlightening Books” presso il Quirinale, Roma in occasione di “Quirinale Contemporaneo” e “Sante subito e fiori” presso Archivio Vincenzo Agnetti, Milano. L’installazione site specific “Enlightening Grimoires” è una donazione permanente al MUVE, allestita presso il Museo Fortuny, Venezia, Chiara Dynys partecipa, inoltre, alla prima edizione di “Reggia Contemporanea”, curata da Cristina Renata Mazzantini e da Angelo Crespi, presso la Villa Reale di Monza.
Chiara Dynys is one of the most prominent contemporary Italian artists. She has participated in numerous exhibition projects in Italy and abroad. The artist’s latest solo exhibition, “Chiara Dynys. Melancholia,” took place in 2022. In 2022, Chiara Dynys was featured in important exhibitions and events, including “Quirinale Contemporaneo” at MIMS – Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility, “Glasstress 2022 – State of Mind” at the Fondazione Berengo Art Space in Murano (Venice), and “Il Numinoso” curated by Giorgio Verzotti at BUILDING, Milan. The solo exhibition “Chiara Dynys. L’ombra della luce” at the Mart has just concluded. Currently, “Enlightening Grimoires” a site-specific installation and permanent donation to MUVE at the Museo Fortuny in Venice, “SANTE SUBITO E FIORI” at Archivio Vincenzo Agnetti, Milan, and “Gate of Heaven” at the Porta di Milano in Malpensa are open for visits. Chiara Dynys also participates in the first edition of “Reggia Contemporanea” curated by Cristina Renata Mazzantini and Angelo Crespi, at the Villa Reale in Monza.
